Paper Purse Gifts

Aren't these purses fun?  I'd come across the idea somewhere online (and loosely used this video tutorial as a guide) and made a whole bunch of these for my stamping friends.  I added a few goodies to the bag and it made a fun gift.

Here's the whole group in different colors.  They really standout with the black and white DSP!

Happy Cards

Here's a group of 'Happy' Cards that I made for swap awhile back.  This is one of my FAVORITE layouts.  You probably definitely will see this layout again.

What I love about this design is that you can replace the 'Birthday' with just about any phrase from the Crazy about You stamp set/bundle.  Very Versatile!

I'm playing catch up on a bunch of projects I did last year and never posted.  I hope you enjoy them!
Have a great weekend!

Convention 2014 Swaps

Since I'm playing Convention catch-up, now's a great time to share my Convention swaps.
I participated in an organized swap and made about 30 cards.  I varied the colors a bit by using my favorites of the new In-Colors.  (Hello Honey is starting to grow on me.  Slowly.)
Below are close-ups of each color.

Blackberry Bliss

Mossy Meadow
Lost Lagoon

Tangelo Twist

The card below is from the Hip Hip Hooray Card kit which is where I found the inspiration for my swap card.  See how I used a similar layout?

Convention 2014 Gifts

I whipped up these quick Convention gifts for friends using the Tag A Bag Polka Dot Bundle.  Wow!  Was this an easy bundle to use and the gifts came out super cute!  I just stamped the phrase from the Chalk Talk stamp set using the coordinating ink color, punched the image out with an oval punch and adhered a few layers of the tags.  Easy peasy!  I figured out a way to tie the white baker's twine (included in the bundle) so it would stay on the bag and not ruin it when they opened it.  Hint:  it involved punching a hole in the bag...
I filled the bags with goodies such a Crystal Light packets, gum and of course, chocolate!

Wood Stamp Case Convention Gifts

These little beauties were gifts for my roommates at Convention this year!  Yes, Convention was in July.  Yes, I'm WAY behind!  I know, I know...  :)

I came across the idea here and modified it by adding sticky notes.  I found these cute little pens on clearance at Staples.  Score!  And you can't forget chocolate - it goes with everything!

I'll be making more of these soon - I'm participating in a craft fair at my daughter's elementary school on November 15 and I think they'll sell.  What do you think?

Convention 2013 - Roommate Gift part 2

Aren't these little dresses darling?  I hesitated buying these dress framelits for so long but the second I saw them used like this, I HAD to get them.  I LOVE 3-D type projects and these were just too easy to make.  I added a little box, some chocolate and BAM!, a great gift was made.  I added this to the notepad I made for a cute roommate gift.  I made extra to hand out to other friends that I ran into at Convention.

Have a great day!

Convention 2013 - Roommate Gift part 1

I can't believe it's already been almost 2 months since the Stampin' Up! Convention!  I realized that I haven't shared anything from Convention so I thought I'd share a few things this week.  I am so lucky to have the awesome-est roommate ever at Convention (Hi Carmen!) and I always try to make a gift for her (and any downline I have that attend Convention).  This notepad holder is part of the gift that I made.  (I just realized that I didn't take a picture of the inside.  Doh!)  This was inspired by a tutorial that I found here.  I simplified Brandy's design by not adding the card pocket on the inside and then added my own touch to the outside.  I LOVE the way it came out! :)

Here's what almost 6,000 women (from ALL over the world) look like from above while waiting to get into the Opening Session on the 1st day of Convention.  WOW!

This year was the 25th Anniversary for Stampin' Up! and the theme for this year's Convention was 'Be The Difference'.  I'm so glad for the difference that Stampin' Up! has made in my life.  I've been able to have a creative outlet while meeting some of the BEST people.  I love this company!

Stampin' Up! even had the hallways of the Convention Center decorated with the theme!

Have a wonderful Day!

Fabric Scissors Holder

Let me start this by saying I DON'T SEW.   This Fabric Scissors Holder is a perfect project for me because you can do it without any sewing at all.  I originally saw this idea at Convention 2012 and just knew I had to make one.  So, we made these at my November Stamp Club.  The idea, along with a great video, can be found here on Laura Milligan's blog.  She presented both a no-sew version and a version that can you can sew if you choose.  The great thing is that they fit Stampin' Up!s paper snips perfectly!

And, even better, the fabric can currently be purchased on the Clearance Rack for only $0.99!! While supplies last!

Accessories: Big Shot, Petal Cone Die, Fabric Adhesive Roll, Designer Fabric (Candy Cane Christmas), Fun Flowers Die, Big Designer Buttons - Candy Cane, Real Red 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, Wild Wasabi 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon
Other: Felt

Convention 2012 Roommate Gift

Speaking of Convention...  It's traditional to have gifts for your roommate.  I LOVE making gifts so this makes me happy.  Here is the gift set that I gave my roommate.  I made another set for my downline who attended Convention as well.

This small package is a chocolate nugget holder.  I'll post directions for this little guy soon.  It's SO easy and really cute.

The middle gift is a hand sanitizer holder.  Can't hurt to have that at Convention!  It would also make a great teacher gift!

And, of course, more chocolate...  Can NEVER have enough of that at Convention (or anytime for that matter!).   I'll try to post some directions for this package soon, too.

I hope you like these gift ideas!
~Enjoy!

Double Peek-a-Boo Card - Convention 2012 WOW Swap

Here it is!  My twist on the card shown here.   I made about 20 of these to swap at Convention this year.  I got the GREATEST reaction when I showed how the card worked.  That made me SO happy!  :)
Sorry for the blurry picture - I used a technique that I've been dying to try and the glitter didn't photograph so well.  I learned the technique at the Albuquerque Regional that Stampin' Up! had here last Fall (2011).   Put a small gob of Dazzling Details in a container and add a few drops of reinker (I used the lid of a package of brads).  Mix with a toothpick and then paint!  Easy Peasy!  I used Daffodil Delight reinker since that was the color of ribbon I had and it worked will with the Ducks.

Here's is the card as it's being opened...

And here's the inside when it's fully opened!

Cardstock: Island Indigo, Whisper White
Ink: StazOn Black
Stamps:  Every Little Bit, Petite Pairs
Accessories: Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder, Dazzling Details, Daffodil Delight Re-inker, Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Write Marker, Daffodil Delight 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon
Punches: 1-3/8" Circle, 1-3/4" Scallop Circle, Scallop Edge Border

I hope you like it!  Let me know what you think!
~Enjoy!
