Small Gift of Love

Great things come in little packages, right?  Well, this little package has some yummy goodies inside.  I handed them out last week for small Valentine's Day gifts.  Super easy to make and using only a 3"x6" paper, you can make a lot from 1 sheet of DSP in no time at all.  I used the tutorial found here

Enjoy!

Snickers Birthday Cake

The principle at my daughter's elementary school had a milestone birthday last year.  Each class was assigned an item and were giving her SIXTY of that item.  My daughter's class was tasked with giving her SIXTY SNICKERS.  The teacher asked if I could come up with a creative way to present the Snickers and this is what I came up with!  What do you think?

It's similar to, but MUCH bigger than, this Nugget Cake I made for a teacher a few years ago.  I had asked for the kids to bring snack sized bars, but I got a variety of sizes, so I added them anywhere I could!

A view from the top!  That's a lot of candy!
I used the same process as I do when I make a diaper cake.  See all of my diaper cakes HERE, HERE and HERE.

Paper Purse Gifts

Aren't these purses fun?  I'd come across the idea somewhere online (and loosely used this video tutorial as a guide) and made a whole bunch of these for my stamping friends.  I added a few goodies to the bag and it made a fun gift.

Here's the whole group in different colors.  They really standout with the black and white DSP!

Christmas Wine Hangers

I made these fun gifts for a craft fair last year.  I got the idea from a fellow stamper and went a little crazy.  As you can tell from my Wall Hanging, I like to make rosettes!

Enjoy!

Beautiful Christmas Frame

This is the beautiful frame I received as a result of the white elephant gift exchange I did with my team for Christmas.  Candice did a fantastic job.  You can see what I made here.

This was difficult to photograph, but I tried to show all of the sparkly-ness.  It's so pretty in real life.

Christmas JOY Rosette Wall Hanging

Every year my team gets together for a white elephant gift exchange and potluck.  This year we did it right at the beginning of December.  Here is my gift that I gave - a Christmas Wall Hanging.

I got the idea from some wine hangers that I made last year (see those here).  I like making the rosettes with the Simply Scored Tool.

Here's a closeup.  Since I didn't end up with this gift, I'll have to make another one for me!

Thanksgiving Turkey Mini Tic Tac Sliders

Here is the Thanksgiving version of the mini tic tac sliders I made to hand out.  I just fell in love with the idea as soon as I saw it!  Make sure to see my Christmas version, too.  I got the idea and video tutorial here

These mini tic tacs come in packs of 3 at the Dollar Tree.  What a quick and economical gift!  Not to mention ca-ute!

Reindeer Mini Tic Tac Sliders

I know I haven't posted in a LONG TIME, but I just had to share these adorable Mini Tic Tac Sliders!  I got the basic idea (with a video tutorial) from one of my new favorite blogs here.

These are great little gifts for my kids' teachers (along with other goodies that I plan to share later) and anyone else who might need a holiday pick me up!

The best part, for the engineer in me, is that you can get EIGHT of the boxes from ONE sheet of cardstock.  I did all of the embellishments with scraps.  BONUS!

Even though it's past Thanksgiving, I'll share the Thanksgiving version I did next!

Convention 2014 Gifts

I whipped up these quick Convention gifts for friends using the Tag A Bag Polka Dot Bundle.  Wow!  Was this an easy bundle to use and the gifts came out super cute!  I just stamped the phrase from the Chalk Talk stamp set using the coordinating ink color, punched the image out with an oval punch and adhered a few layers of the tags.  Easy peasy!  I figured out a way to tie the white baker's twine (included in the bundle) so it would stay on the bag and not ruin it when they opened it.  Hint:  it involved punching a hole in the bag...
I filled the bags with goodies such a Crystal Light packets, gum and of course, chocolate!

Wood Stamp Case Convention Gifts

These little beauties were gifts for my roommates at Convention this year!  Yes, Convention was in July.  Yes, I'm WAY behind!  I know, I know...  :)

I came across the idea here and modified it by adding sticky notes.  I found these cute little pens on clearance at Staples.  Score!  And you can't forget chocolate - it goes with everything!

I'll be making more of these soon - I'm participating in a craft fair at my daughter's elementary school on November 15 and I think they'll sell.  What do you think?

Mini Pizza Box Gift Holder

This box has been finished in my mind for several days now, I just needed to actually finish it by adding the embellishments.  My niece's birthday was yesterday and she had asked for a specific necklace.  Well, I needed a box to put it in, so it was the perfect opportunity to just FINISH this box already!!

The box itself is really easy and you can easily get 2 boxes per one sheet of cardstock.
Here are the measurements:
Start with cardstock 7-1/4" x 4".
Score the long side at 3/4", 3-1/4", 4" and 6-1/2".
Score the short side at 3/4" and 3-1/4".
Then embellish!

The measurements and inspiration for this project were found HERE.  Thanks Becky!

To make the flower topper, I used my Big Shot and the Fun Flowers Bigz Die.  I lightly sprayed water on each flower piece and then scrunched them up in my hand.  I let them dry and then attached them all together (and to the belly band) using a small silver brad.  The flowers held their shape after they dried. So pretty!

This also fits in as part of the Splitcoaststampers Creative Crew Challenge for March:

Live Happy Chocolate Treat and Leadership Recap

I'm still playing catch up on sharing some projects and today it worked out great to share this little gift of chocolate.  I made these as part of my roommate gift package for my roommates/friends at Leadership in Houston in January.  I used the Envelope Punch Board and was able to crank these out in a flash.  I had the mini Hershey's bars and used the instructions found HERE

I'm also sharing these as part of the Splitcoaststampers Creative Crew Challenge for March:
  • CCREW0314CF, CreativeCrew, SUO or SUM -- Catalog Focus: Envelope Punch Board or Simply Scored. Show us what you love about these awesome tools!
As soon as I saw that you could create so many 3-D projects with the Envelope Punch Board, I HAD to have it!

Speaking of Leadership Roommates...

We had SOOOO much fun!  I can't even begin to say how great it was to spend several days with these ladies!  I know we are all counting down the days until we can see each other again at Convention!
