Christmas Wine Hangers

I made these fun gifts for a craft fair last year.  I got the idea from a fellow stamper and went a little crazy.  As you can tell from my Wall Hanging, I like to make rosettes!

Enjoy!

Beautiful Christmas Frame

This is the beautiful frame I received as a result of the white elephant gift exchange I did with my team for Christmas.  Candice did a fantastic job.  You can see what I made here.

This was difficult to photograph, but I tried to show all of the sparkly-ness.  It's so pretty in real life.

Convention Swap - Marvelous Magic Marquee Card

I just realized that I hadn't shared my Convention Swap card from this year.  I LOVE moving cards (and 3-D type projects) so when I saw the video tutorial for this, it was a must-do for me!

The card moves to reveal the center as you open it up.  Fun!

Happy Halloween 2013!

Happy Halloween!
As soon as I saw these Witches' Hats, I knew I had to make them. But I made a 'mini' version!  Perfect for 3 tootsie rolls.  I'm going to hand them out today to the ladies at my daughter's school.
In case you're wondering, I started with a 2 1/2" X 5" piece of cardstock.  The rest was scraps!

Here was my contribution to my daughter's class party yesterday.  I thought of it myself!  With all of the fun stuff on Pinterest, I just couldn't find something that was screaming to me to make.
I made regular Rice Krispie Treats, adding orange food coloring to the marshmallow mixture, and pressed the mixture into a greased bowl.  I actually did that twice - once for the top of the pumpkin and once for the bottom.  Then I pressed the 2 flat sides together and added tootsie rolls to the top.  (Can you tell I LOVE tootsie rolls?)

Christmas in July - Teacher Gift - Note Paper Box

I made gifts for my daughter's 1st grade teacher and this is one of them.  I figured it would be nice for her to have scrap paper in a nice box on her desk to scribble notes on.  I found this tutorial and the BEST part is that the box itself only uses ONE sheet of cardstock.  I LOVE this demo and her videos.  She is so resourceful with her ideas.

Cardstock:  Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White, Silver Glimmer Paper
Ink: Wisteria Wonder
Stamps: Lovely Letters
Punches:  1-3/4" Scallop Circle, 1-3/8 Circle, 1-1/4" Circle,

DSP Gift Bags

Aren't these little gift bags cute?  I LOVE them.  They are the perfect way to give a gift card - especially if you're looking for a little more than an old boring envelope!  The best part - they only use a 6X12 piece of DSP!  Easy Peasy!  I had to create some gift cards so I made matching gift bags to coordinate with them.
I got the idea and tutorial here.

Leadership 3-D Swap - Take Out Box

This was my favorite 3-D swap that I received at Leadership (sorry - I'm not sure who made it!).  I've been wanting to make a take-out box for quite some time.  I just loved everything about the box - the colors, the embellishments, everything!  It used some of the new Soda Pop Tops in the Spring Catalog along with a new stamp set (Collage Curious) and a Sale-a-bration set (Bloomin' Marvelous).

Of course, I had to make one of my own.  I used a video tutorial found here to get the correct cutting and scoring.  I used the same colors and basic design.  Since I didn't have the flower from Bloomin' Marvelous (yet!) I used the butterfly from the Collage Curious stamp set.  I used the Rock 'n Roll technique to get the butterfly multi-colored.  I also added some ribbon.  I was surprised at how easy you can smash the Soda Pop Tops in the Big Shot!  Just put the Soda Pop Top between 2 cutting pads and use no Tabs on the Multipurpose Platform.  Easy!

Cardstock:  Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red
Stamps:  Collage Curios
Accessories: Big Shot, Petal Cone Bigz L Die, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Real Red Ribbon (retired), Soda Pop Tops
Punches: 1-3/4" Scallop Circle, 1" Circle (inside Soda Pop Top),

Happy New Year 2013!!

Happy New Year!  I hope you had a wonderful holiday season!
I got a little busy with preparing for the holidays so I didn't get to post the rest of the tissue holders that I had made.  These ones used the Candy Cane Christmas fabric (still only $0.99 on the Clearance Rack).  I used this group for a swap with my downline as well as gifts for my Stamp Club members, my daughter's teacher and my family.

Again, I used scraps to die cut circles (using the Circles #2 dies) and my Big Shot so I could make 'Yo-yo's to embellish with.

I'm sure I'll be making more.  They're a cute gift, easy to make and really inexpensive!!

Accessories: Big Shot, Designer Fabric (Candy Cane Christmas), Circles #2 Die, Real Red 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon

Christmas Gift Swap 2012

Did I say that I don't sew?  Well...  I got out the sewing machine.  And I actually sewed something.  And now I'm addicted.  Ugh.

I came across a tutorial for these Tissue Holders and I thought they looked easy enough.  So I made a 'few'.  Those 'few' turned into 22.  And I want to make more.  Crazy, I know.  But they are 'SEW' easy!  (ha ha)

I embellished them by using a 'yo-yo' and some retired Cherry Cobbler ribbon.  To make the 'yo-yo', I cut a circle using the Circles #2 die (the 2-1/2" circle).  I folded in the edges of the circle and hand sewed a loose stitch around the edges.  Then I pulled it tight and secured it to the Tissue Holder along with the ribbon.  Easy Peasy!

Since they were fairly easy to make, I had lots of fabric and they are light enough to ship, these are my SUFriendsForever Christmas Gift swap for this year.  I hope the ladies enjoy these!
These would also make great teachers gifts!

This fabric is currently available on the Clearance Rack for only $0.99!! While supplies last!

Fabric Flower Embellishment

Another No-Sew Project!  Love it!  This idea came from Stampin' Success - the Demonstrator only magazine that we get every other month filled with great ideas.  A quick, easy way to decorate one of our Kraft Gift Boxes (4 for only $2.95!).

Since I used the Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons - which are clear- I punched out and added a small circle of Cherry Cobbler cardstock to add some color under the button.

This fabric is currently available on the Clearance Rack for only $0.99!! While supplies last!

Fabric Scissors Holder

Let me start this by saying I DON'T SEW.   This Fabric Scissors Holder is a perfect project for me because you can do it without any sewing at all.  I originally saw this idea at Convention 2012 and just knew I had to make one.  So, we made these at my November Stamp Club.  The idea, along with a great video, can be found here on Laura Milligan's blog.  She presented both a no-sew version and a version that can you can sew if you choose.  The great thing is that they fit Stampin' Up!s paper snips perfectly!

And, even better, the fabric can currently be purchased on the Clearance Rack for only $0.99!! While supplies last!

Double Peek-a-Boo Card - Convention 2012 WOW Swap

Here it is!  My twist on the card shown here.   I made about 20 of these to swap at Convention this year.  I got the GREATEST reaction when I showed how the card worked.  That made me SO happy!  :)
Sorry for the blurry picture - I used a technique that I've been dying to try and the glitter didn't photograph so well.  I learned the technique at the Albuquerque Regional that Stampin' Up! had here last Fall (2011).   Put a small gob of Dazzling Details in a container and add a few drops of reinker (I used the lid of a package of brads).  Mix with a toothpick and then paint!  Easy Peasy!  I used Daffodil Delight reinker since that was the color of ribbon I had and it worked will with the Ducks.

Here's is the card as it's being opened...

And here's the inside when it's fully opened!

Cardstock: Island Indigo, Whisper White
Ink: StazOn Black
Stamps:  Every Little Bit, Petite Pairs
Accessories: Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder, Dazzling Details, Daffodil Delight Re-inker, Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Write Marker, Daffodil Delight 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon
Punches: 1-3/8" Circle, 1-3/4" Scallop Circle, Scallop Edge Border

I hope you like it!  Let me know what you think!
~Enjoy!

Double Peek-a-Boo Card - CASE

OMG!  This is my favorite card - EVER!  I found a video on how to make this card and instantly fell in love!  It's a MOVING card.  How fun is that?  As you open the card, the sentiments move over the flowers.
I used the color combination from page 134 in the 2012-2013 Annual Catalog.  So pretty!

This is the card fully opened (well almost - that was hard to photograph with one hand!).  When it's opened, you can see the hidden messages come out.  SO FUN!!

Come back soon and see my twist on this card for my Convention WOW swap.
